In the third quarter of the fiscal year 2025, ICici Bank, the second largest private sector bank after HDFC, revealed a net profit of 11,792 rupees. This represents a 15% increase compared to the same quarter of the previous year, when the net profit reached 10,272 rupees.
In addition, the bank announced a net income of 20,370.6 rupees, which reflects an increase of 9.1% of 18,678 rupees in the previous year.
Npa
The percentage of the net stalled loans (NPA) remained fixed at 0.42% in the last quarter, while the proportion of allocations for the non -loose loans reached 78.2% until the end of December.
In the third quarter of the fiscal year 2025, the percentage of total troublesome loans showed a slight improvement to 1.96% from 1.97% in the second quarter. The total NPA 6.085 rupees in the third quarter, compared to 5,916 rupees in the first quarter and 5,073 rupees in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2025.
ICICI indicated that NPA additions usually witness higher than KISAN Credit Card Portfolio in the first and third quarter of the fiscal year.
During this quarter, the bank removed 2,011 rupees of the total NPAS.
Deposit
In the third quarter, ICICI witnessed a 14.1% increase on an annual basis and a consecutive increase of 1.5% in total deposits at the end of the period, to reach 15,20,309 rupees. The average deposit also showed growth, with an increase of 13.7% on an annual basis and a consecutive increase of 2.1% to 14,58,489 rupees during this quarter.
Specifically, the average current account deposits increased by 13.1% on an annual basis and 4.5%, respectively, while the average savings account deposits increased by 12.3% on an annual basis and 1.3% on a successive basis. The average current account rate and savings accounts were 39% during the third quarter.
Credit growth
The net local Salafists witnessed an annual basis by 15.1% and a sequential growth of 3.2% during the quarter. The individual loan portfolio witnessed an annual basis by 10.5% and a continuous growth of 1.4%, to constitute 52.4% of the total loan portfolio.
On the other hand, the business services portfolio witnessed a growth on an annual basis by 31.9% and a sequential growth of 6.4%.
ICici Bank shares closed at 1,213.70 rupees on Friday (January 24), an increase of 0.99% on the Bahrain Stock Exchange.
