British engineering company IMI revealed a cybersecurity incident a few days after the Smiths company stated that it was targeting the infiltrators.
IMI, a company based in Birmingham, designs and manufacturing products for industrial automation, transportation and climate control, in A. When asked by Techcrunch, IMI refused to comment on the nature of the accident and did not say whether any company’s data was emptied. The UK Information Commissioner Office did not immediately respond to the comment.
The UK -based Smiths Group said that it is working to “recover” the damaged systems after unauthorized access to its network.
None of the company has provided time schedules to recover.
