Grubhub food giant Grubhub says that infiltrators have reached the personal details of customers and drivers after breaching their internal systems.
Grubhub is a famous platform for food arrangement and delivery with more than 375,000 merchants and 200,000 delivery providers using its platform in more than 4000 American cities. The New York-based Wonder Group collection acquired last fall in a $ 650 million deal-a small part of only $ 7.3 billion to eat ready-made meals for it in 2020.
On Monday, the Illinois -based company revealed a breach of data that affects the personal data of an unknown number of customers, merchants and drivers. Grubhub said she had discovered an “unusual activity” in his network that follows to the third -party service provider.
“Upon discovery, we immediately launched an investigation, with unauthorized access to an account related to this provider,” Grouphoub said in a statement. “We immediately ended the arrival of the account and removed the service provider completely from our systems.”
He said that infiltration allowed the infiltrators whose name was not revealed to reach the personal details of customers, merchants and drivers who interacted with their customer service.
