David Beckham sits with Tania Brayer from CNBC at the World Economic Forum 2025.
David Beckham talked about the “simple values” that his parents taught him, which he transferred to his children, in a conversation with the anchor of the CNBC Tania Brayer at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The former football star attended the World Economic Forum for the first time to receive the Crystal Charity Award, for his work in protecting weak children as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF since 2005.
Prayer Beckham asked about his passion for making the change and the values that his parents taught him.
Beckham said: “I think they instilled the right values, which are the simple values of treating everyone in the same way and showing respect for people, and I tried to do the same with my children,” Beckham said.
The 49 -year -old father, the father of four children, said that the youngest of Harper is 13 years old and the older Brokelin is 25 years old.
“My children all know that they allow a woman to enter through the door before they do so. They stand when the lady leaves the table, shake hands, and communicate with the eye. You know all these values, what they accept, and what they thank.
Beckham added: “All my children have said, please, and thank you since they were in the second or three years of age. So it is the simple values that I and Victoria grew up on what we tried to instill in our children.”
He said that having children also inspired his work with children all over the world. Beckham has traveled widely to raise awareness about UNICEF worked with children. Kambodia has visited the children who have fallen victim to violence and ill -treatment, and South Africa to meet families with HIV and AIDS, and the Philippines, where he met children affected by Hurricane Hayan.
“I took a few of my children on different trips. They know exactly the work I do for UNICEF. All of them want to participate in the work of UNICEF that I do. All of them want to help in different ways and various charitable institutions.
“I continue to view the pictures above the pictures when I return to the house from these trips, and this gives them a real sense of what is happening in the world, and I think this is very important.”
In his speech at the award ceremony, Beckham also stressed that “girls hinder” poverty, violence and discrimination.
“I want my daughter Harper to get the same opportunities as her brothers, and this should be the case for all girls everywhere. Being a girl should not determine what you can do, where you can go, or who can become.” He said.
Beckham touched on several topics in his conversation with Barir, including his 20 -year -old football career from 1992 to 2013, where he became president and co -owner of Inter Miami Football Club, and his ideas on social media.
